INGREDIENTS
~ 150 g butter
~ 300 g sugar
~ 3 whole eggs
~ 3 egg yolks
~ a pinch of salt
~ 2-3 tablespoons rum
~ 200 g chopped walnuts
~ 200 g ground walnuts
~ 700 g white wheat flour
~ 20 g baking powder

PREPARATION TIME
30 minutes, plus baking time

INSTRUCTIONS
Cream the butter with the sugar, whole eggs, yolks, salt, and rum. Then add the chopped and ground walnuts, followed by the flour and baking powder, previously sifted. The dough should be relatively soft. With your hands, form small “mounds” and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake at 140°C (284°F) for 20 minutes, then raise the temperature to 150°C (302°F) and bake for another 20 minutes.
